Short-sighted Decision on Green Energy Projects
[July 23, 2010] The Ontario Power Authority took the July long weekend to make an announcement that undermines the government’s commitment to green energy in this province. Simply put, the price of ground-mounted solar projects is being reduced from 80 cents to 58.8 cents per kilowatt-hour produced. The Ontario Power Authority has failed to grasp the depth of the negative impact this decision has on promoting green power to farmers in this province and making Ontario the heart of green manufacturing.
